Lisa performing Corneal Topography
I came to Dr. Sharma's office over 14 years back, and have thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. This office is my second home and I consider Dr. Sharma as my family. I am a trained Optical and Medical technician. In my role as the Patient's Liaison for the office and the 3 Skilled Nursing Facilities, my duties are mainly of interacting with patients, scheduling surgeries and helping Dr.Sharma with her activities outside the Office.
The doctor is involved in many Community-based activities as the Director of District Health Care Board, Treasurer for the Physicians IPA, and League of United Latin American Citizens and many others. I help with her scheduling and Appointments. I believe in excellence at work, caring and courteous customer service, and loyalty towards those with the same belief. I am extremely family-oriented - enjoy an outdoor life: swimming, camping, and hiking. My son and I enjoyed the Cruise to Mexico with Dr. Sharma and our office staff last year and looking forward to Cruising to Alaska this year.
My belief is that everything in life happens for a reason - and most are blessings in disguise.

I came to this office over two years ago, and have learned a great deal of Ophthalmic Technology from Dr. Sharma. I truly enjoy working here learning every day some ophthalmic facts and performing various tests like Ophthalmic Ultrasound, Retinal Tomography, Fluorescein Angiography and Perimetry.
I am responsible for keeping all the Instruments in working condition and any computer related IT jobs. I accompany Dr. Sharma on her visits to see patients in the Skilled Nursing Facilities and in our Satellite office in Los Banos. Recently, I have taken over Marketing for our Office. My hobbies are outdoor activities with my son and family. I have a passion for food and physical exercise.
My favorite quote:
“The only people I owe loyalty to are those who never made me question theirs”
I truly think I am Dr. Sharma's favorite !!! She is always forgetting my name, which I have come to believe is “what’s your name " !!
I have so many duties that I often forget what they are: from helping the Doctor with Spanish, entering patient data, ordering Labs for patients and referrals to other facilities and Specialists. We are all doing everything as the need arises. I am very fond of performing the tests for patients, I take care of Surgical instruments and Sterilization, assisting the Doctor with minor procedures in the Office and Post-op work.
I have been with this Office for over ten years, and I love it here. I LOVE food and laughter and Zumba. We are frequently doing something fun in our Office: going together to Movie marathons, having Ladies Night out, going for Dinners, bus tours to Casinos - our Doctor is always with us on these excursions.
I have a family with three kids and a husband who spoil me when I get home.

I have worked with Dr. Sharma for over thirteen years. I started out as a young girl after High School and worked upfront at the Reception. I gradually learned Billing and Coding and took over the Financials when my predecessor left without giving much notice. I enjoy working with numbers and Collections.
I have also taken over the Payroll disbursement for the last three years. When I have spare time I help with the Front Office or Back office as and when needed.
Dr. Sharma prefers that all the staff members are cross-trained, and I can surely say that each one of us can do almost any job in the office, except that I am the only one entrusted with the Finance. I enjoy my work. Dr. Sharma trusts me and I make the decisions on routine matters concerning Patient Billing.
Outside of Office I am involved with my daughters in Girls Scouts and Cheerleading.
I am a Board Certified Optician with experience of over 25 years. Last 15 years I have worked with Dr. Sharma. My background prior to coming to the USA was in Dentistry. I was a practicing Dentist in Russia. I enjoy fitting people with the most flattering frame and selecting the right lens combination. I do all the Contact Lens fitting in our Office. Sometimes using the Computerized system with Corneal topography especially in those with high astigmatic correction. I like the challenge of fitting a patient with Keratoconus and other Corneal conditions with special Hard Contact lenses.
I grind most of the lenses in the Office to get the best quality and can deliver a finished pair of glasses "in an hour".
I manage the Office: Sort out the Mail, pay the Bills, shop for supplies, Order optical frames, Cases, and Contacts. I do the hiring of Staff and manage disgruntled members, Deal with Sales representatives and oversee Payroll. I am the last to leave the office with the Doctor.
My wife is very understanding of my working late hours. We like to travel and take at least two holidays every year. I am interested in Gardening, Political discourses, Classical Music and Professional Tennis.
